What "Research Use Only" Means for Peptides

Research use only, often shortened to RUO, means a product is supplied for laboratory research, such as in vitro work and analytical testing. It is not approved or sold for use in people or animals, and it has not been evaluated by the FDA.

An RUO product is not sold as food, a cosmetic, or anything meant to be taken or applied by a person. The seller is not claiming it does anything in a body, and a legitimate one will not describe effects, results or amounts to use.

If you ask a research supplier how much of something to take, how to use it on yourself, or what it will do for you, a legitimate one will decline. That is not unhelpfulness. Answering would turn a research chemical into something marketed for personal use, which is exactly what the label rules out.

A seller that happily answers those questions is telling you something about how seriously it takes the rest of its obligations, including testing.

Clear identification of each product, independent lab testing tied to lot numbers, published certificates, storage and handling guidance, and honest policies. That is the paperwork a researcher actually needs.
